We met Anni in one gallery of the MOMA and coaxed her into letting us drag her through three other galleries just to get a shot of her Swedish babeness next to a Joan Miró; only to find out it was in fact Meret Oppenheim’s Red Head, Blue Body. Photo by Xavier Aaronson.

I think it’s strange that the author of this blog post would be less than enthused to show a babe in the museum next to a work by Meret Oppenheim. Why? Meret Oppenheim is a well-known artist. The vast majority of objects the women pose with on this blog are men; it wouldn’t hurt to include a female artist every once in a while because, well, quite frankly, female artists exist and they’re good. It’s unfortunate you’ve never had the opportunity to know about Meret Oppenheim prior to stumbling upon her work at MoMA; she’s great.

Not less enthused just obviously unaware of the resemblance with Miro. We learned something new that day and it felt great. Also, the lack of female artists is not intentional at all and we’re glad that you raised that important observation. But did you take a look at our front page. Within the first 4 photos there’s 3 extremely renowned female artists that that subjects are posing next to: Belgian artist Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven, Hungarian artist Rita Ackermann, and American artist Georgia O’Keeffe.
