New Museum Hosted A Tightly-Themed 90s Party
This was not one of those social art occasions of carefully choreographed interactions. This was a full-on boozy bash flush with NYC’s art-crowd trading in their hoity-toity remarks for 90s reminiscence and shared nostalgia from their weirdo teenage years.
I can’t say the party overshadowed the art —not like at Art Basel Miami Beach, at least —but from scanning the room it looked like most eyes were glazed in the hootch and ogling at each Gen X outfits.

Brooklyn Screening of Efterklang and Vincent Moon’s “An Island”
Babes At The Museum will be hosting a screening for the Efterklang and Vincent Moon collaborative film “An Island” at Cameo Gallery (93 N. 6th st, Brooklyn) on Tues. March 29nd.
Doors at 8pm and screening’s at 9pm. Seating is limited so first come, first serve. Pay what you want. With a $5 donation you enter to win a limited edition test pressing of Efterklang’s third full-length album “Magic Chairs” on 4AD.
