In large, anonymous cities there are moments when being open to an unexpected stranger promises an encounter that’s routinely brief, largely banal and occasionally unforgettable. Rachel was one of those fortunate meetings that we have all too rarely but that linger with us for longer than we expect. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon and we crossed paths at the MoMA PS1 in Queens, NY. It’s hard to explain what lured us to her; it could have been her flourishing yet holed-up sweatshirt or perhaps her vibrant choice of lipstick, which contended well with Maria Lassnig’s intensely hued artwork. Only lasting a handful of minutes, our bracing interaction with Rachel was like a vivid blur. Soon after, she excused herself, explaining that she should hurry back to her studio, where she planned to use that day’s museum stimulation to work on some new designs for her lingerie label. (photo by Xavier Aaronson)

Simplicity always wins.  After a brief tour of the Free Wheel bicycle exhibition at the Holon Design Museum, the sprightly Anaël comes gunnin’ straight for us camera with her perfectly paired getup.  The beautiful bending architecture you see in the background is  a creation by museum designer Ron Arad. Here’s to a sublime start to the Spring. (photo by Sarah Peguine)

“Visiting the Met on an empty day with fantastic guides is such a treat. You get to experience the art in a way you typically don’t have the chance to, in a calming (sometimes creepy) silence and without any potential photo-bombers! Any photographer’s dream. Good moments to be captured with a babe like Bonnie in company.”

Thaís Mayumi at São Paulo Biennial of Arts

The rise in Museology degrees should raise the barriers of entry for cute jobless girls – who majored in English and Studio Art – relentlessly trying to wiggle their way into the professional world of art.

Thaís is a museologist from Rio de Janeiro. She’s a pro at all things related to museum design, organization and management. Warning to all aspiring gallery girl types, don’t try to test her or else she’ll squash you with her babe brain.

Out of all the colorful hues featured at this year’s São Paulo Biennial of Arts, Thaís was spotted looking like the perfect temperature.

Zoe’s perfectly polished leather Desert Boots and oversized white button down are blaring signs that she jumped some guy on her way to the Guggenheim. And I see nothing wrong with that.

Mariana Di Pilla Itau Cultural Sao Paulo Brazil

Mariana was spotted  at the Itaú Cultural in Sao Paolo, Brazil. What looks like a face-hugging beauty kit from a Steampunk convention is actually a piece of ocular sculpture art by the legendary Brazilian artist Lygia Clark. I like Mariana because she’s a once-a-week museum tripper and a pretty rad journalist.

This optical illusion – if you could call it that – basically determines your preference for blondes or brunettes. It’s true. Let your eyes drift and tell me in the comments section below which museum babe you noticed first.

What you’re actually seeing is Mary (blonde) standing inside of Dan Graham’s For Gordon Bunshaft installation at the Smithsonian in DC, taking a photo of the Tamara (brunette) standing outside of the piece.

Truly a first of its compositional kind for us at Babes At The Museum.

Both of these California natives are no strangers to babe’ing out whether it be in DC’s museum scene or on Santa Barbara’s beaches, where these two beauties met while completing their undergraduate studies.
