SECURITY GUARD photo by Xavier Aaronson

Remember that quick-witted 10th grade teacher who had awful style but knew just the way to simultaneously put you in your place while making you look up to her? That’s exactly how I feel about the stern demeanor from security guards and their occasional fun-crushing in the name of something you respect, like art. (photo by Xavier Aaronson)

Babes Mixtape Vol. 2 Curated by Lemonade

Babes Mixtape Vol. 2 Curated by Lemonade

For years, the electro-dance outfit Lemonade has been gyrating our ears and hips in a hedonistic frenzy. So when they agreed to curate the second installment of our Babes At The Museum mixtape series, we heel clicked all the way home like some cracked out springboks.

The collection of 10 handpicked songs make up a chromatic mix of ambient, electronic and dance that can only be sourced by a wayfaring bunch constantly touring, plucking obscure ear gems along their way.

Check out the mixtape and let your crowded museum visits be filled with blissed out insouciance. Finally something to put a muffling end to all the loud-talking know-it-alls always feeling like they need to express their art criticism in public.

If you want to hear Lemonade own material, grab their album Diver, out now on True Panther Records.

Artwork by Adam G. Mignanelli of Ballast NYC and mixed by Abdullah “the Kid” Saeed

Molly Wertheimer Hammer Museum by Jacob Goren Made in L.A. biennial

What’s going on here? Oh why just a performance piece for the Made in L.A. Biennial at the Hammer Museum. While Molly was trying to leave the museum, a crocheted-costumed monster grabbed her hand and wouldn’t let go. She could only ditch the wobbling performance artist if she passed him off to someone else, which she eventually managed to do. Molly looks great in blue and is also a recent film graduate from NYU. Paula at Tate Modern

I’ve seen cute ankle rolls before but non quite as inquisitive as this one. Paula is half German, living in Brazil who, whenever travels abroad, must absolutely make a trip to a contemporary museum or gallery. Here she is gazing at Matisse’s The Snail at the Tate Modern. photo by Ricardo Wolff

Paloma is from Budapest. She’s studying Art History and would like to be a curator one day. She loves her BATM T-shirt and sends us lovely photos in full ambassador attire. We were told that Georgia O’Keeffe’s Eggplant oil painting was highly sexual. Here is Tiffany at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Drapes in the painting even match her blouse a bit. Photo by Michael Teixeira

Most people hate it when you look over their shoulder, but not this Hungarian beauty doesn’t seem to mind. She even throws us a cheeky look at the Ludwig Múzeum – Kortárs Művészeti Múzeum in Budapest. Photo by Végel Dániel
